Crimson Desert’s 'Charting the Unknown' DLC Arrives Oct 29 — Exact Launch Times for Spain and the World

When and where the DLC drops

Pearl Abyss is sending Crimson Desert out to sea with its first paid expansion, Charting the Unknown, and yes — we finally have the clock times. The expansion officially launches on October 29 in Western regions, while many Eastern Europe, Asian and Oceanian players will see it go live in the early hours of October 30 local time.

If you live in Spain: the DLC unlocks at 11:00 p.m. (peninsula and Balearic Islands, CEST). Canary Islanders get it an hour earlier at 10:00 p.m. (WEST). Equatorial Guinea follows Spain’s mainland time at 11:00 p.m. (WAT).

Across the Americas the schedule lines up like this: Argentina and Uruguay at 7:00 p.m., countries such as Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico around 6:00 p.m., and several Andean and Central American nations at 5:00 or 4:00 p.m. The U.S. windows are 6:00 p.m. EDT on the East Coast, 5:00 p.m. CDT in the middle, and 3:00 p.m. PDT on the West Coast.

Quick note: these are the times published by the developer for the global rollout. If you’re somewhere not listed above, expect the usual timezone shuffle — Western regions on Oct 29, many others slipping into Oct 30.

What you’ll actually get and how to grab it

Charting the Unknown costs €25 on digital storefronts and brings a watery chunk of new map to explore: shipbuilding, sailing, and island-hopping are the big hooks. Think less mud-and-swords, more salty decks and lootable atolls.

PS5 players can already pre-download the expansion so you’re ready the second it unlocks. Xbox Series and PC (Steam and Epic) users will be able to download at the moment of launch. There’s also a patch for the base game arriving alongside the DLC, but Pearl Abyss hasn’t shared the patch notes yet — so expect surprise fixes or tweaks when the update hits.

Why this matters: Crimson Desert has been getting steady free updates since launch, but this is the first paid chapter — a clear signal the team is committing to bigger, content-rich drops. If you like exploration, ship toys and new scenery to get lost in, this is the one to watch (and pre-download, if you’re on PS5). Happy sailing, Greymanes — try not to run your ship into the loading screen.
