When, where, and what you can buy
Daedalic Entertainment just locked in a date: Woodo lands on September 16 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch (and the upcoming Switch 2), plus PC. It’s a small-ticket cozy puzzler, with a Standard Edition priced at €19.99 and a Deluxe Edition at €24.99.
The Deluxe bundle stuffs in the soundtrack (34 tracks), printable 3D models of the two main buddies—Foxy and Ben—the printable map poster and stickers, two extra cursor colors, and a special in-game map sticker. Early birds who pre-order can snag the Deluxe for the same price as the Standard for a limited time, according to Daedalic’s announcement.
What it plays like and why it matters
Think tiny wooden dioramas you assemble piece by piece. Each time you slot something in, the scene perks up: colors return, little animations pop off, and tiny story beats about the protagonist and their frog sidekick Ben unfold. It’s deliberately tactile—developers Yullia Prohorova and Timur Bogotof wanted placement to feel like snapping a real toy into place.
Puzzles aren’t just linear slide-shows. You’ll spin the diorama, peer from odd angles, and hunt for parts hidden in 3D space. Objects you add can trigger environmental changes and micro-animations, and the game tailors hinting to how fast you’re playing so it doesn’t feel like it’s rushing you.
There’s also a narrator guiding the trip, giving the whole thing a warm, nostalgic vibe—imagine being reminded of lazy afternoons turning everyday stuff into tiny adventures. For players who enjoy chill, tactile puzzle design and atmosphere over timers and twitch, Woodo looks like a neat fit.
Bottom line: it’s not trying to reinvent puzzle games so much as make a cozy, charming package that feels good under your fingers. If you’re into relaxing puzzles with character-driven little moments and cute extras in the Deluxe, mark September 16 on your calendar.
