Weird lights in the storm
After the Shrouded Sky update dropped, players started sharing short clips of strange bright blue lights streaking across the sky during Hurricane map conditions. One widely-seen 20-second video shows a Raider by the Spaceport launch tower as the lights pass overhead — and on a second watch you can make out them being attached to a huge ship cutting through the storm.
The footage is fuzzy thanks to the weather effects and only a handful of people have managed to capture it, so there’s not a lot to go on. Embark Studios hasn’t commented, which only stokes the community’s imagination.
Why it matters (and how to hunt one down)
If this is more than a visual oddity and actually signals a new enemy type, it could change raid pacing and tactics. A flying, building-sized Arc would force teams to adapt loadouts, positioning, and timing — especially if it shows up mid-raid the way players are describing.
Take the rest with a grain of salt: the idea that this is a teaser for a “large Arc” linked to roadmap dates (people have mentioned March and April) is unconfirmed rumor, not a fact. Still, the parallels to other games quietly adding big surprises have fans buzzing.
Want to try your luck? Community reports suggest you’re most likely to spot this during Hurricane conditions and around the raid’s halfway mark (roughly 15 minutes in). It appears to be rare, so don’t expect it on your first few runs.
For now the devs’ silence is doing the heavy lifting — and the speculation is delightful. Whether it’s a real mothership, a cinematic tease, or a bug in the weather effects, it’s given players a new mystery to chase and could mean some proper chaos if a new threat actually arrives.
